Presses & Drainers
The Siprem International Vacuum Press is the best press on the market for quality white wine making. These presses are fitted with a Vacuum pump and Blower (removing the need for costly external air stations) to gently press the grapes to a maximum preesure of only 0.9 bar. The vacuum pump works quickly to extract the air and then juice from the grapes and send it to an enclosed collection tank. This system allows Siprem to also offer the option of injecting inert gas into the sealed pressing and collections tanks to provide oxygen free juice extraction. The Vacuum Press features pneumatic doors and axial valve and an installed juice transfer pump allowing the operator to walk away during pessing. Other options include Inert Gas recovery/reuse; Pressing Program linked to Turbidity measurements, welded cooling Jacket/Dimple on the pressing tank, manifold on the juice pump for automatic transfer of juice cuts and an Automatic Cleaning system. Siprem manufacture a robust and user friendly unit that have been installed into the Australian and New Zealand markets for over 10 years without fault. The basic units are a closed tank with internal drainage screens, PLC control, Axial Valve and installed compressor/blower for the models up to and including PA110 (11,000lt). Options include Hermetic/Sealing Door, Pneumatic Door, Pneumatic Axial Valve, additional Door, installed juice pump with level switch, welded cooling Jacket/Dimple on the pressing tank, Automatic Washing system, Motorised wheels and external Air Station (for large units). Siprem International Pneumatic Press - PA A 120 CUVEE: 12,000lt manufactured for Sparkling and Whole Bunch grape pressing. This unit was originally designed and installed sucessfully for wineries in the Champagne region of France. The PA120 Cuvee has a perforated tank with the option of 2 or 3 Large Radial Sliding Doors which can be fitted for Pneumatic or Manual operation. This system allows an even distribution of grapes during filling, reducing the number of tank revolutions and therefore reducing the creation of solids! The juice is drained into a large tray which is retractible (pneumatically). Concentrators/DeAlcoholisers/ExtractorsReda Cold Evaporation Concentrators/DeAlcoholisation (2.9 MB) This is a fully automated unit, in which must concentration occurs under forced vacuum where virtually pure water is evaporated at a temperature of 20-24OC. This is important to prevent 'cooking' of the fruit that occurs with 'flash' systems that are sold by other companies. The Reda Concentrator can work by recirculating the entire tank or by concentrating only a part, such as 20%. These Concentrators need only electric current to operate (they don't use fuel or water) and running costs are very low. Applications are varied for this type of unit: 1/ for harvests diluted by excess rain 2/ For hot areas where a slightly early harvest can occur to maintain a better balance of sugar, acidity and aromatics 3/ for good conditioned grapes where the sugar is generally low. There are 5 models available from wineries processing 2,000-8,000lts to 100,000-200,000lts per day. The Reda Concentrator can also be used to DeAlcoholize wines. The concentrator evaporates water at low temperature due to the low pressure (vacuum) vessel. During evaporation of wine, alcohol which is more volatile than water is the first to be extracted through the condenser. The result is a solution of water and alcohol that is separated into a tank. After this the water can be separated. Again with this unit a percentage of the wine can be treated and blended back into the tank.
