Cadalpe C41AI Cross Flow Filters - Automatic version

The Cross Flow models “C41 AI” represent the latest development by Cadalpe in automatic filtration for the small to large sized winery. The distinct advantages of these models are:

Choice of 2 sizes of filtering membranes especially suited to Australian wineries: 

a/ Polymer hollow fibre membranes with 1.2mm diameter capillaries provides a surface area of 12.5mtsq per module which are particularly suited to filtration of wines at the bottling stage.

b/ Polymer hollow fibre membranes with 1.8mm diameter capillaries provides a surface area of 7.8mtsq per module which can filter wines after fermentation (1000+ ntu) and also at the bottling stage.

Compact design with easy maneuverability means it can be tucked away neatly while working or while in storage.

Inert Gas Injection ensures minimal oxygen pickup, and evacuation of wine residues within the filter.

Touch Screen PLC and pneumatic valves provides full automation for the filtration cycles of usually 24 - 30 hours, but can be longer dependant on the filterability of the product.

Installed dosing pumps (for chemical wash), solenoid valves for the hot & cold water entry and the washing tank provide an automated washing cycle (initiated by the operator at the PLC screen).

Now there is also an option to have the washing cycle automatically initiated by the PLC at the completion of the filtration cycle ensuring the filter will be ready for the next tank when the operator walks back into the winery at the start of the day.

Specific Pumps for wine entry (feed), trans-membrane pressure, washing and wine exit.

On the C41-AI there are separate tanks for the back flush collection and the washing cycles.

The second buffer tanks receives the filtered product and with a connected pump transfers it back to the wine cellar or bottling room.

A pre-filter, placed at the entry of feeding and washing pump, equipped with removable metallic cartridge having a passage opening of 150µm. There is also another pre-filter, placed at the entry of the washing water, with removable polypropylene cartridge having a passage opening of 1µm.
