Simatec Lauter Tun

The Lauter Tun has been conceived to realize only the wort filtration.

The SIMATEC flow system with controlled temperature, constant flow of the sparging water, and mixing of the upper part of the grist is unique in its genre. The tank is short and broad in order to have the best possible filtration ratio.

The SIMATEC filtration system uses filtrating grids composed of triangular polished profiles assembled to have an high empty-full ratio, with upper chinks of sieve of 0.8 mm and lower for must evacuation of 4 mm for an optimal filtration and easy washing and high thickness, granting an high mechanical resistance.

The filtration of the Simatec Lauter has a certain time, which is repeatable (about 1 hour and 15 minutes), and a really low decreasing of the temperature of the grist. Furthermore, with the optional system of instantaneous heating of the sparging water, it is possible to compensate the loss of temperature of the grist by means of an instantaneous and partial increase of the temperature of the sparging water.

The last technological innovation of the Simatec lauter is the mixing system of the upper part of the gris by means of special plows or rotating disks, in order to increase the extraction efficiency. In this way you can reach efficiencies higher than 85% and sometimes even higher than 90%!

The exhausted grist discharge is made by means of a specific extraction paddle with a system of swinging paddles in PE, that grant to optimally adhere to the parts, without a relevant wear and can be easily be extracted for a fast cleaning.

The bottom of the filter is made of stainless sheet 10 mm thick, high resistant and built with 1 degree slope to have an optimal dripping without creating stagnation points.
