Tonnellerie d’Aquitaine offers a large selection of French oak originating from the most prestigious regions of France known for the quality of their very tight grains oak.

Most of these sessile oak type forests are under the control of the French Forestry Organization (ONF, Office National des Forets), allowing for a strict respect of forestry technical practices.

From the hand-selection of staves sorted by forest and grain, to the delivery of barrels to winery, every single aspect of the manufacturing process is monitored. tonnellerie d'Aquitaine's line of products by forests or by grain is designed to respect the elegance while enhancing the fruit components and the length of your wines.

Tonnellerie d’Aquitaine has implemented a quality control of the wood origin according to the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), the world's largest forest certification organization. Based on the wood PEFC certification and the Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) quality program currently in use, we are fully able to demonstrate our commitment to a sustainable and reliable source of high quality of wood.

In addition, Tonnellerie d’Aquitaine has contracted with highly specialized labs to proceed with on-going chemical analyses of the wood used in our production and containers used to ship barrels intended to eliminate the possibility of any contamination risks.
